Abstract | This paper mainly explored current advances in edge computing technologies, the challenges faced in the implementation within urban environments, and the future prospects for optimization and scaling. By delivering some practical applications including healthcare and energy monitoring and also addressing limitations including data standardization and security, this study provides a roadmap for the stakeholders to foster smarter and sustainable urban ecosystems. |
